Organizing cords and chargers

Last year, every time I said goodbye to my husband when he was going away on a business trip, I used to get the same dreading feeling deep down inside, “I will be struggling the next few days till he is back”… and do you know why? because I wont be able to charge my gadgets..or at least one of them! Don’t get me wrong, I miss him and all, but what used to happen was very frustrating!

We keep our chargers in a drawer in our bedroom, so every time he was packing his bags, he just sticks his hand into the drawer, grabs whatever he reaches (or could get out of the tangled wires, honestly), packs them and flies! I remember one time he took 2 Iphone chargers and traveled, the funny thing he didn’t have an Iphone!

So to make our life easier, I decided to organize our charger drawer which usually looked like this.

I usually look around my house for things to use or re-purpose for a better use before rushing out and buying something new, I had this socks drawer divider (that was not used at the time), some Velcro ties and hooks that I got from Daiso.

I decided to add some labels,so I labeled each charger using my label maker.

I finished off by putting each charger in a separate pocket (still has some room, which is awesome with our ever growing gadgets collection) and this is how it looked like.

after

We have been using it for the past year and it’s been working great for us so far, you can see below the before and after.

Hope this can give you an idea of how to rearrange your chargers or cords and cables in general.

Share with us your ideas, we would love to hear from you!

Have a great weekend !
